Aluminium Bi-Fold Doors

Bi-fold doors are made up of several glazed panels that fold back on themselves in a concertina style, turning a wall of glass into a fully open space. They run on a smooth roller track and can be made to open inwards or outwards. Our bi-folds are made with slim aluminium frames, so you get more glass, more light and very little maintenance.

Bi-fold doors are custom made for your opening, with up to seven panels. Doors can stack to the left, to the right, or split to both sides. Popular options include 2-pane (opens to one side), 3-pane (folds left or right), 4-pane (master door to one side, three panels fold to the other), 5-pane (all fold to either side) and 6-pane (three fold to each side). All configurations except the 2-pane door include a traffic door, so you can come and go without opening the whole set. We'll help you choose the right layout once we've measured your opening.

Each leaf can be up to 1200mm wide and up to 2400mm high including the frame, with a maximum leaf weight of 100kg. Leaf width and height combined can be up to 3500mm. The overall width depends on the number of panels you choose.

Yes. The aluminium profiles have a 24mm polyamide thermal barrier and a multi-chamber design. In the standard configuration the U-value is 1.4 W/m²K with double glazing and 1.1 W/m²K with triple glazing. Glazing options are 28mm, 36mm or 44mm.

Our bi-fold doors come with multi-point locking operated by lever handles, plus shoot bolts. They are internally glazed, so the glass can't be removed from outside. The doors are weather tested to BS6375 Part 1 and meet the enhanced security standard BS7950.

Clean the frames every 3 to 6 months with warm water, a non-alkaline detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents. Check that handles and locks work smoothly. Lightly oil the multi-point locking gear from time to time. Keep the hinges and drainage slots free of dirt and debris.
